There was an amazing demand for tickets to our exclusive Slow Food Aberdeen City & Shire MEET, GREET & EAT event at The Bank Cafe & Restaurant. The lucky 50 who managed to secure tickets joined us for a fantastic 5 courses that showcased some of the best local and seasonal ingredients from around the City & Shire.
SFAC&S committee members Martin Gillespie and Bob Donald welcomed guests with a shot of The Teasmith combined with Rhubarb and Orange Balsamic Shrub from Udny Provender and the evening got underway with producers Mortlach Game, Forbes Raeburn – The Family Butcher, The Devenick Dairy and Rizza’s Ice Cream each giving an introduction to their produce before the relevant course was served.
There was a fantastic atmosphere as everyone joined in the ‘big table dining’ experience and we were really pleased with all the warm, positive feedback.
